GK Launch Services is happy to report that the contract for the fueling of the CAS500-2 satellite with propellant and compressed gases was signed with Korea Aerospace Industries LTD (KAI), a leading manufacturer of aircraft and helicopters in South Korea and manufacturer of the CAS500-2.
A similar contract for the fueling of the CAS500-1 spacecraft had been signed earlier with Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), the main space exploration organization in South Korea.
The joint team of GK Launch Services and Center for Operation of Space Ground-Based Infrastructure, the leading launch sites managing company in Russia, will be accountable to customers for the fueling operations.
The primary mission of the CAS500-1 and CAS500-2 satellites is to provide panchromatic and multi-spectral image data with the Advanced Earth Imaging Sensor System-Compact (AEISS-C) payload.
Both spacecraft will be launched on Soyuz-2.1a with Fregat upper stage.
